1 T extra virgin olive oil

1 lb lean ground turkey

1 yellow onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 T tomato paste

1 T chili powder

1 T unsweetened cocoa powder

1 t ground cumin

1 t oregano

1/2 t ground cinnamon

1/2 t kosher salt

1/4 t allspice

1/4 t coriander

1/4 t black pepper

3 T barbecue sauce (your favorite!)

1 T brown sugar

1 14. 5 oz can chicken broth

15 ox can kidney beans, rinsed and drained

14.5 oz can petite diced tomatoes

Toppings of your choice: sour cream, green onions, shredded cheddar cheese, etc.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add turkey and onions and cook until turkey is almost cooked all the way through (about 5 minutes). Add tomato paste and stir until combined. Poor mixture into slow cooker and add all remaining ingredients except for toppings. Stir everything together, cover and cook on low for 3-5 hours. Serve with toppings and ENJOY!
