Southwestern Slow-cookin’ Chili

Want a different kind of chili that’s healthier than the heavy ground beef stuff? This recipe is for you! Just dump ingredients into the slow cooker and go!







  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 onions, peeled and chopped
  • 2 ribs of celery, chopped
  • 1 large carrot, peeled and diced
  • 1 red pepper, diced
  • 15 oz can of tomato sauce
  • 15 oz can of black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup frozen corn
  • 2 T brown sugar
  • 1 15 oz can of chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 t chili powder
  • 1 t oregano leaves
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/4 t pepper


Add all ingredients to slow cooker and cook on low setting for 6-8 hours. Enjoy with shredded cheese, sour cream, and tortilla chips!
