Sausage Alfredo

IMG_3484This dish is a quick and easy weeknight meal that is enough like mac & cheese for the kids to like it, but unique enough for the adults to love!







1 package smoked sausage (long link), sliced into 1-inch pieces

8 oz pasta, cooked, drained

1 1/2 c heavy cream

2 t Cajun seasoning

1/2 c grated Parmesan

freshly ground pepper


Prepare pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

Saute sausage for 5 minutes. Add cream and Cajun seasoning and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer about 5 minutes or until sauce thickens. Stir in Parmesan. Add pasta and toss. Serve with freshly ground pepper on top.
