Doughnuts so easy you’re going to flip!

DoughnutsLooking to satisfy that Saturday morning sweet tooth on a budget? Search no further! These fabulous doughnuts are so soft and delicious that you won’t ever be hitting the donut drive-thru again!

Yield: 8 doughnuts


1 can Grands Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits (or any biscuits that aren’t the layer/flaky kind)

4 T butter, melted in shallow bowl

Cinnamon & White Sugar, mixed in shallow bowl

Vegetable oil (amount depends on size of pan)


Fill a large frying pan with vegetable oil, about 1/2 inch high. Heat oil on medium heat for a few minutes. While oil heating, poke holes with end of cooking spoon/spatula in the middle of each biscuit to resemble doughnut shape. Place donuts in oil and once one side is golden brown, flip and cook the other side. (This does not take long, so you’ll need to constantly watch to flip.) Once both sides are golden brown, remove doughnut and place on papertowel lined tray. Using silicone tongs, dip each side of each donut into the melted butter and then cinnamon/sugar mixture, then onto platter to serve. These doughnuts are quick, cheap, and easy!
